Grey’s Anatomy: Jason George to Star in Firefighter Spinoff

Grey's Anatomy, News, Pinned

It looks like we’re going to be getting more of Jason George on our screens!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, George has joined Grey’s Anatomy’s new spinoff as a series regular.

The untitled Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, which got picked up as a series in May, focuses on the lives of Seattle firefighters.

ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey expressed her excitement over Shonda Rhimes’ new show.

“No one can interweave the jeopardy firefighters face in the line of duty with the drama in their personal lives quite like Shonda, and Grey’s signature Seattle setting is the perfect backdrop for this exciting spinoff,” she said.

George, who has been playing the role Dr. Ben Warren on Grey’s Anatomy since 2010, will remain as a series regular on the medical drama until his character transitions into the spinoff. The premiere date of the spinoff has not yet been set.
