You were probably wondering what classic TV show would be getting a reboot next.
According to Deadline, a reboot of the comedy The Munsters is currently in the works at NBC.
The 1960s comedy followed a family of monsters who, despite their obvious differences, functioned as a typical working-class family in California.
It starred Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster, Yvonne De Carlo as his wife, Lily Munster, Al Lewis as Grandpa, Beverly Owen as their normal teenage niece (she was later replaced by Pat Priest), and Butch Patrick as their werewolf son Eddie Munster.
We won’t see The Munsters in their suburb on Mockingbird Lane in the reboot series, however. Instead, they’ll be trying to fit in with their neighbors in Brooklyn, NY.
Color me intrigued.
The reboot comes from Jill Kargman, who will write the script and serve as executive producer, along with Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, who will also serve as executive producers. Like the original series, the reboot will be a half-hour comedy.
