Television couples have fights and tiffs all the time, and we tune in every week because of the romantic tension! No matter the reason for these on again off again couples, we are thankful that they get their happily ever after.
Today celebrates the fact that kissing and making up is the best part of an argument for couples and sometimes even makes the fight worthwhile. Check out our list of 14 couples who got to kiss and make up on some of our favorite shows!
1. Angela and Jack – Bones
This office romance had its hot and cold moments, but we knew Hodgins wouldn’t give up on the girl he had been in love with for years.
This couple had a few fights, but after some time, they realized that they were meant to be and got married in a jail cell. The series ended showing us Angela and Hodgins happily married with a son, Michael, with another baby on the way.
2. Topanga and Cory – Boy Meets World
We got to watch everything with these school-aged sweethearts. From their first kiss, to their breakups, to their wedding night, and through it all, we didn’t doubt that they were meant to be. We even got to see what they were like as parents on Girl Meets World.
Cory and Topanga are one of the longest and strongest relationships that we have seen on television. Plus, they certainly were one of the top fictional couples in the 90s.
3. Kevin and Scotty – Brothers & Sisters
This relationship had its rocky moments for sure, but it is also the one that had a huge impact within American television. Their commitment ceremony was the first between series regulars and only the 9th same-sex couple to do so that was aired.
Scotty and Kevin struggled through cheating, disagreements about public affection, and tiffs during their marriage as they tried to start a family. In the end, it all worked out, and they were able to reconcile their differences and had growing family by the time the series ended.
4. Castle and Beckett – Castle
Caskett was of the longest ‘will they/won’t they’ couples. The chemistry between the two actors was off the charts, despite the off-screen rumors. It wasn’t until the end of Season 4 that the couple finally gave into their feelings and started a relationship.
Their relationship had some difficult moments due to the nature of their jobs, but they were able to prove the “Moonlighting” curse wrong. The series ended with a flash forward of Castle, Beckett, and their three children around the kitchen table.
5. Ross and Rachel – Friends
Over 10 seasons, we watched as this couple went through the ringer. They are definitely one of the most complicated relationships on our list. Dating, “we were in a break,” children, and a Las Vegas wedding were just some of the complications that they faced.
There are some fans that even to this day still wish that Joey and Rachel had gotten the happy ending. In the end, Ross & Rachel were each other lobsters, and she got off the plane.
6. Luke and Lorelai – Gilmore Girls
As one of the older couples on our list, they prove it’s never too late to find your true love. Though they had to find each other through other marriages and a long lost child, eventually Luke and Lorelai were able to find happiness together.
The series finale left the door open for this couple, so as fans we hoped they would get their happy ending. It wasn’t until the revival, which Netflix produced in 2016, that finally gave us their wedding day.
